Fashion designer Bertin Yabre is transforming the rich textile traditions of Burkina Faso into contemporary works of wearable art, earning recognition in New York’s fashion community while preserving the cultural identity of his homeland.
Founded in 2019, Yabre’s fashion brand was created with a simple yet powerful philosophy: fashion should be inclusive. His runway presentations welcome people from every culture and background, creating a space where diversity is celebrated through design.

Born in Burkina Faso, Yabry draws his inspiration from childhood memories, particularly an uncle whose creativity and personal style sparked his passion for fashion. Today, that inspiration continues to guide every collection.
Unlike mass-produced garments, Yabre personally travels to Burkina Faso every six months to source authentic Faso Dan Fani, the country’s iconic handwoven fabric crafted by local artisans. The textile, known for its cultural significance and exceptional craftsmanship, becomes the foundation of collections that blend African tradition with modern silhouettes.
His designs range from elegant gowns and bridal wear to jackets, pants, and custom couture for both men and women. Every garment reflects a balance of heritage, sustainability, and innovation.
