Anitta makes history on ” Saturday Night Live” + Becomes the first brazilian artist to perform on the iconic show

 Brazilian superstar Anitta continues to break barriers as she becomes the first Brazilian artist to perform on Saturday Night Live (SNL) this weekend, marking a historic moment for Latin and Brazilian music on U.S. television.

During her appearance, Anitta performed her new single “Choka Choka” live for the first time, a preview of her upcoming album “Equilibrivm,” set to be released on April 16. With this new release alongside Shakira, the artist continues to solidify her position as one of the most influential female voices in Latin music.

“Equilibrivm” marks Anitta’s eighth studio album and one of the most ambitious projects of her career. The album is structured in two acts that reflect her dual identity: a first part in Portuguese, deeply rooted in Brazilian rhythms such as samba, funk, and reggae, and a second part featuring songs in English and Spanish aimed at the global market, further establishing her as a truly international artist.

Additionally, Anitta surprised audiences with a powerful performance of “Várias Queixas,” the highly anticipated surprise track from her new album “Equilibrivm,” and a classic of great significance in contemporary Brazilian culture.

Anitta’s appearance on SNL not only marks a milestone in her career but also positions Brazilian music on one of the most influential stages in global entertainment.
